The Multiple Use Home in Minnesota: Modular and Manufactured Homes

October 25, 2010

There are many styles and uses for modular and manufactured homes.  Many think they can just be a seasonal cabin, but that is far from the truth.

Modular and manufactured homes even if used seasonally are built the same as they would be for year around use.  The insulation is thick and the other products used are extremely durable.

The majority of homes are used for long term and year around living, while others still use them for cabins.  A smaller group even use them for business offices, which is a very cost effective way to house your staff.

They also work quit well for retirement homes.  It is single level living with few or no entrance steps.  It makes for very accessible living.

This housing option is not only well built, but very versatile.

Don’t Blink or You May Miss Your MN Modular/Manufactured Home Project

October 4, 2010

One of the advantages to building a modular is the short time it takes to complete the project.  A modular/manufactured home project from start to finish can be completed as quickly as one month.  As your modular/manufactured home is being built in an environmentally controlled factory your foundation can be completed and ready for the modular/manufactured home once it is built.  This cuts your project time in half, which saves you money.  Most people who are building a new home typically have a construction loan in place to cover the sub contractor payments during the project.  The longer your home project takes the more money you will be paying in construction loan fees.  This is one of those costs most new home buyers don’t take into account, which can really add up.

Be it Spring, Summer or Fall the modular/manufactured home project is so quick you might miss it being completed if you blink!
